Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the 20th
Annual Del Close Marathon! We have some exciting opportunities this year as
part of our DCM20 crew. Please see the descriptions below regarding the types
of volunteers we are looking for as well as the corresponding link to the
appropriate application. Unfortunately, due to the high volume of applicants we receive, we can not guarantee a spot for all who apply.

Theatre Volunteer A theatre volunteer will work with the
house manager and venue staff to maintain the facility to keep the festival
running smoothly. This will include cleaning, taking out trash, and interacting
with patrons by answering questions and directing them to where they need to
go. Must have good customer service skills and the ability to demonstrate a
calm and collected demeanor in stressful and excitable situations.
Stage Management Volunteer A stage management volunteer will be stationed in a specific
venue and assist the house manager with various tasks. This will include
managing flow of performers backstage to ensure that the festival operates
smoothly and on time. This may include
checking in of scheduled performers and giving show calls. These volunteers
will need to be punctual, organized, and need to be able to demonstrate a calm
and collected demeanor in stressful and excitable situations.
Production Volunteer A production volunteer will be working directly with the
production coordinator and facilities manager to assist in all facility related
duties, including but not limited to: set up and take down of venues,
maintenance, repairs and refurbishment, and safety & security. The requirements
include: ability to lift at least 50 pounds, climb ladders, do manual labor,
willingness to get dirty, familiarity with electricity and electrical theory. In
addition, you should be highly organized, have excellent communication skills,
be punctual, have an excellent knowledge of the city and the subway system, and
have infinite patience!
